From Planting Trees to Fashion Forward: isoc Community Champions Recycling
In a bid to foster environmental responsibility and sustainable practices, isoc recently celebrated Recycling Week with a series of engaging and eco-friendly activities. The school transformed into a hub of green initiatives, with students, parents, and faculty actively participating in events like “Plant a Tree,” an Upcycling Workshop, and a unique “Recycling Fashion Parade.”
Rooting for a Greener Tomorrow
The week kicked off with the “Plant a Tree” initiative, where students got their hands dirty in the name of sustainability. Together with their teachers, students planted a variety of trees on the school grounds. This not only enhanced the school’s greenery but also instilled a sense of responsibility among all our students towards the environment.
Upcycle: Crafting Creativity with a Purpose
A massive shoutout to Mrs. Dinuta, a fashion designer and a dedicated isoc parent, to our students, and everyone involved in making this event a resounding success! Let’s continue to weave sustainability into the fabric of our community and create a ripple effect that extends far beyond our campus. Together, we can make a difference!
Recycle Bot Visits EYFS Assembly
Guess who made a special appearance at our Early Years Assembly? The one and only RecycleBot! In an eye-opening session, RecycleBot taught us the ropes of recycling and why it’s so crucial for our planet.
We got hands-on and learned the art of sorting and separating different types of rubbish, making the whole process a breeze!
The highlight of Recycling Week was undoubtedly the “Recycling Fashion Show,” a dazzling showcase of eco-friendly fashion crafted entirely from recycled materials. Students from different grades embraced their inner designers, working with unconventional materials to create stunning outfits that merged sustainability with style.
isoc’s Recycling Week served as more than just a series of events; it was a platform for environmental education and awareness. The activities aimed to educate students about the importance of recycling, reducing waste, and making eco-conscious choices in their daily lives.
