Our School has been fully accredited by CIS since August 2012. We are proud of their recognition of the quality of our programme. The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a global non-profit membership organisation that provides services to elementary and secondary schools, higher education institutions and individuals focused on international education. 

isoc is an IB World School authorised to offer the Diploma Programme from September 2017 onwards. As an IB World School, we are part of a global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring young people who will be ready to negotiate their futures successfully and make contributions resulting in a more harmonious and peaceful world.

Our school has been accredited by the BSO and is recognized globally as a center of academic excellence. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to fostering a learning environment where students can thrive, grow and succeed. Our school meets all the requirements of the BSO standards.

International School of Bucharest has been a member of COBIS since 2013. A fundamental aim of COBIS is to support its 500 plus members and represent their interests in Britain and overseas, particularly with Government, education authorities and educational associations. COBIS is committed to advancing the interests of British schools overseas and the commercial organisations that export education resources, products and services.

isoc has been an accredited as a Cambridge International School for the IGCSE and A Level exams since 2000. Every year an increasing number of students prepare and sit these exams in our school. University of Cambridge International Examinations is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for 5–19 year olds. The qualifications are taken in over 160 countries and recognised by universities, education providers and employers across the world. https://www.cois.org/

isoc is authorized by the Ministry of Education to operate as a private school following a non-Romanian curriculum. The Ministry of Education in Romania recognises  Year 10 and Year 11 studies at isoc (which are the equivalent of Grade 9 and Grade 10 in the Romanian Educational System), only if the students pass at least 5 IGCSE exams (3 mandatory subjects – English, Mathematics, Science and 2 optional subjects). Year 12 and Year 13 students (which are the equivalent of Grade 11 and Grade 12 in the Romanian educational system) follow the IB Diploma. This is recognised as the equivalent of the Baccalaureate Diploma in Romania. The IB Diploma is recognised by universities worldwide. 

Our school became an accredited ECDL® test centre in January 2015.

isoc joined the Eco-schools family in January 2017. The aim of the Eco-schools project is to engage the youth of today to protect the climate of tomorrow.

isoc became a Duke of Edinburgh’s centre in 2015. The Award challenges students to that extra mile – gaining new skills, pushing themselves physically, helping others and exploring new territories.
